Position: QA ENGINEER

Responsibilities:

• Successful candidates will be working with US based clients.
• Ability to quickly gain a thorough understanding of the product that will be tested.
• Adhere to a strict timeline and quality control procedures to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
• Follow written test procedures and perform random manual testing of the products.
• Use creative problem solving to isolate minimum conditions necessary to reproduce bugs.
• Confirm bug fixes.
• Use issue tracker software to report bugs, improvement suggestions and problems with test procedures.
• Assist QA management in writing, reviewing and modifying written test procedures.
• Work collaboratively within QA team to continually revise and improve the company’s QA systems.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or one year experience in quality assurance software testing.
• Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills in English.
• Familiarity with the following is an advantage:

— Scrum Methodology
— HTML
— XML
— Bug databases, preferably JIRA
— Wikis, especially Confluence
— Various Operating systems and browsers
— Prior QA and/or programming experiences
— Concurrent versioning systems and the trunk-branch-tag conceptual construct

• Must be able to follow directions, conform to specifications, and communicate well with foreign clients.
• Can work independently with a minimum supervision
• Applicants should be Filipino citizens or hold relevant residence status.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Makati City.
• Full-time position is available.

The candidate must be a self-starter, able to manage their own time and involvement on a project, and effectively and regularly notify superiors and clients of progress.
